Selecting a Cardiologist
Selecting the right cardiologist for you or your family can be difficult. A personal referral from a family or friend is most helpful. One of the best sources is your primary care physician. Your family physician or internist can recommend a quality cardiologist with whom they have had good success with in the past.
I am very proud that in our office at the Orlando Heart Center we care for the many physicians, the family of physicians, nurses and other hospital staff and even other cardiologists. When families are unable to get a personal referral for a new cardiologist, I often recommend identifying the hospital nearest to you that cares for cardiac patients and then call the hospital and ask the hospital staff where they go or where they take their family for cardiac care.
