Dr. Carlos Sabogal
Pediatric Pulmonologist in Orlando
Born in Lima, Peru. Attended Medical School at Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, Lima graduating in 1991. Completed Pediatric Residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida in 1996. He worked for four years as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at University of Miami.
He did his fellowship at University of Miami/Division of Pediatric Pulmonology graduating in 2003. During his fellowship he did research in RSV, apnea and use of Synagis. He was distinguished with the fellow research award in the year 2001 and the fellow of the year award in 2002 at University of Miami. He presented his research at ATS meetings in different occasions.
He presently works at Arnold Palmer Hospital, where he is medical director of the Pediatric Pulmonology Division and the Sleep Disorder Center. He is also co-director of the Cystic Fibrosis center at Arnold Palmer Hospital. Dr. Sabogal is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. He is an assistant professor of Pediatrics at Florida State University and University of Central Florida. He is actively involved in teaching pediatric residents at Arnold Palmer Hospital. Dr. Sabogal has been voted as one of best doctors in America and also in Orlando.
Dr. Sabogal is married and has five kids. His areas of interest are asthma, airway anomalies, cystic fibrosis, virus induced airway inflammation and sleep medicine. He is fluent in Spanish. |
